The option to return items outside operating / open hours is a modern service offering that is in the interest of customers and libraries. and a low cost service. 24Bookdrop™ integrates with the library LMS and discharge the items from the users record. The items are collected in one of our media friendly book bins.
“Only your item” Whenever a library user holds a library item in front of the letterbox, it automatically recognizes whether this item belongs to your library. The outer hatch of the letterbox is opened and the user can place the item in the letterbox. The outer hatch is closed and the item in the letterbox is checked-in. When it does not recognize the item then outer hatch remains closed and the item cannot be placed in the letterbox.

The 24Bookreturn™ allows items and media packages to be returned quickly and easily.
The 24Bookreturn™ indoor can easily be built into existing interior walls and enables the user to quickly return an item/s. Whenever a user places an item in the letterbox, it automatically recognizes whether it belongs to your library, opens its hatch and checks-in the item. When it does not recognize the library item, the hatch remains closed.
The 24Bookreturn™ is also equipped with a screen that instructs the library user how to return an item. For example, when an item can’t be checked-in the screen will inform the user what to do. If necessary a printer can be added to print the receipt of the returned items.
Item that have been sorted using the 24Bookreturn™ are collected in specially designed carts. The carts’ special trapezium-shaped base prevents books from forming stacks and distributes them more evenly in the cart. The spring pressure is adjusted in accordance with the tests. The springs are of a special design (low initial pressure and high final pressure of the double spring) to create maximum performance.
