Self service furnishings have to date taken second place to the technology but now libraries are able to accommodate their self service furniture as part of the whole library design. In response to feedback from librarians and library users D-Tech commissioned the design of a new range of self service furnishings, ‘Blend’, designed specifically for libraries.

The flexibility of Blend means that it can be integrated with shelving, counters and soft furnishings to create a totally integrated library design. We can even manufacture staff pods and OPAC units in the same style and finish.

The furniture is manufactured in high quality melamine with a wide range of colour laminate finishes. All items are DDA compliant and meet ‘easy to reach’ ergonomic guidelines.

Designed and manufactured in the UK, quality is key to the range and all the units are finished to a very high spec. Castors are designed to glide across any surfaces and details such as hinged, drop down drawers make accessing stock easy and comfortable. All units offer a high level of stability and will not tip or rock.

The Quick Pick unit cleverly houses a spare bin and the top can be used for book display.
