D-Tech statement supports adoption of common data standard in RFID

D-Tech and Bibliotheca have always been clear, and often vocal, on their position in working towards the adoption of a common data standard and were indeed a forerunner in supporting an open standard based on European guidelines. Although work pressures prevented our contribution to the recent BIC/CILIP library stakeholders’ meeting on standards, we clearly and vehemently state our position in favour of the adoption of the ISO 28560-2 standard. We look forward to working with partners, libraries and BIC / CILIP and joining in future discussions to achieve a free, open and sharing standard in RFID for improved service and more creative choice for end users.
